Looking Forward to 2015...

I don't think I have been this excited about a new year in a very long time! The holidays did take a toll on me, but we had a very nice Christmas and New Year. Jay, my husband, and I celebrated three years together; and two years of marriage on Dec. 31st, 2014. In October we had moved into our new place and I was happy to see all of my things that had been packed away for most of the year. And, of course, I wanted to see my Christmas things as Christmas is my favorite time of year.
But once it was over, I was ready to get my house back to normal even though it seems bare. I learned a long time ago that we should cherish Christmas in our hearts all year long. And what doesn't get done, we look forward to the next year and don't let little things get us down. I didn't get around to baking cookies and making all the ornaments I wanted to make. Life just kept getting in the way; and I am so glad I made it though!
Cross Stitching has always been therapy for me and it keeps me very busy. I joined an Ultimate Crazy January Challenge group on Facebook. We are starting a new project every day until March. I am using some of my UFO's though. I always love starting projects, however I am getting better at finishing as I go along. I am working on Jay's Marine Corps Emblem every day. It is so close to being completed.I have to finish the rope, then do the backstitching. I want to have this custom framed at Michael's.

Jan. 1st--I worked on Christmas cards for 2015...and here is the last ornament I made for 2014.

Jan. 2cnd--Lizzie Kate's 'The Art of Aging Gracefully

 Jan 3rd--Perpetual Calendar

Jan. 4th-- Marine Corps Emblem & Christmas Card

Jan. 5th-- I didn't stitch much.
Jan. 6th-- Jeremiah Junction/linda coleman's Flowers from A to Z

And then, today, Jan. 7th-- Linda coleman's The Beatitudes

My next door neighbor gave me this beautiful pointsettia and I am going to try and grow it. I haven't had a green thumb in awhile so hopefully this spring we will be able to grow some of our own veggies. I am looking forward to getting to know new friends and continue my good 'ole relationships. I aim to be a better person in 2015, to seek God with all of my heart, and to love my husband for who he is and keep building our marriage. I want to thank everyone for your kind support, for putting up with me, and all--ALL of your prayers are welcomed. Message me anytime or friend me on facebook. Hope to see you around in 2015! Hooray! Hugs, and Happy Stitching, Queeny
